The Tieton River will keep you cool in the heat of Yakima's Indian summer. Fueled by water released from Rimrock Dam, the Tieton's steep gradient produces 14 miles of narrow and swift Class III+ whitewater leading to the Naches River. Eastern Washington is a dry place by the end of the summer and farmers use the water released for irrigation. Recommended Gear List - Tieton ITEMS WE PROVIDE WITH NO ADDITIONAL COST: A neoprene sleeveless wetsuit, booties for your feet, a PFD, helmet, and paddle are provided and required. Avoid wearing any cotton clothing (cotton is a negative insulator). Try fleece, wool, or polypropylene layers. ITEMS YOU CAN BRING: • Swimsuit or swim trunks • Long or short-sleeved shirt(non-cotton) • Visor or hat with brim • Retaining strap for eyeglasses/sunglasses • Drinking water in reusable container (must have a strap to connect to raft) • Sunscreen • Towel (leave in your car for after the trip) • Guide Gratuity
