FOR SCOUTS

  • How to use the Boy Scout handbook
  • Complete requirements for Scout badge
  • Complete Tenderfoot requirement 10.a. — Record your best in the following tests:

    • Push-ups
    • Pull-ups
    • Sit-ups
    • Standing long jump
    • ¼-mile walk/run

  • Patrol Assignments, Patrol Medallions


FOR PARENTS

  • Troop By-Laws
  • What parents are expected to do in the troop, how often we 'churn' committee positions, training, driving/camping/other support to enable the boys


FOR SCOUTS & PARENTS

  • Web Site usage (how to sign up for stuff, how to update their contact information, What's coming up, etc.)
  • Summer Camp
  • Dues (how to pay, how to keep track on the web site, ISAs)
  • Uniform requirements, what we have available for them, Class A vs Class B
  • Items we 'sell' — T-Shirts, Beanies, the Cascade Designs good deal stuff
  • Camping Gear — what we have, what they should start with (Boots, Bag, Pack)
  • The annual planning process
