4/20/2012 (4:30 PM) - 4/22/2012 Fire Mountain We are only a few short days away from the greatest OA event in the Pacific Northwest - The 2012 Section W-1N Conclave at Fire Mountain Scout Camp. There are a few things you should know before you come. The housing offered will be primarily in Adirondack shelters or stents. You will want to bring a sleeping bag and sleeping pad. If you would prefer tent camping, that is also a welcomed way to stay. You should be prepared for an amazing weekend filled with activities. You should be ready to get around camp and of course bring rain gear and a water bottle. It looks like the sunshine will be of the liquid variety, so be prepared. For more information on the camp, including driving directions, go to the camp website http://www.mountbakerbsa.org/camps/fm/index.html. Don't forget a photocopy your BSA Annual Health and Medical Record Form parts A and B! We will collect these at registration and they will get destroyed after the event, so make sure you only give us a photocopy. There will not be the capability to make copies on site, so be prepared. Here is a link to the form http://www.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/whole.pdf Please take a moment to plan your travel times accordingly. Registration will open at 6:00 PM on Friday night. If you are coming from the South, there will likely be increased traffic with the Mount Vernon Tulip Festival in full swing. Additionally, it is the opening weekend for the new Tulalip Cabela's near Marysville, so that may also increase congestion. Don't forget, it's not too late to call your friends that are new Ordeal members, invite them to attend and offer them a ride. They will still be able to take advantage of the special discounted registration fee of $35! This is only available to new Ordeal members, so please make sure they aware of this opportunity. Remember, any auction donation items are welcome. These help us bring this program to you which is an incredible value. We look forward to seeing you this weekend.
