This clinic will be held at the Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society’s Fall Festival of Gems
Show on November 20th at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds in the Presidents Hall from
10:00 am to 5:00 pm. You may attend at anytime during the day but it is anticipated that
any of these badges will be completed in appx. 3 hours or less.

Rules for this event:
1. Scouts shall be accompanied by a parent or Scout leader(s) if planning to do this
event as a Scouting unit.
2. The cost is $10 per scout. Remember a Scout is helpful and courteous – please pre-
register by November 6th.
3. If you choose to obtain your “collection” to meet the badge requirements through
purchases at the show.., you should bring an additional $10.00. You are welcome
to bring your own collection to this event…, but you will see and be able to
purchase some really cool samples of rocks from all over the world and this will be
a great opportunity to get an awesome collection started.
4. Scouts should bring at least 1 egg carton for their collections.
5. You will be responsible for obtaining your awards upon conclusion of meeting the
requirements.
6. You should bring blue cards (for Boy Scouts), paper, pencil, and merit badge or
activity booklets. A workbook will be provided and a counselor/scout leader will
sign off in the workbook to show that you have completed the requirements.
7. All scouts will come in their uniforms.
8. All scouts will be on their best scouting behavior or asked to leave. This show is
open to the public and your behavior reflects on the scouting program.
9. All scouts will practice “Leave No Trace” principles in the building and on the
grounds.
