Come camp at Millersylvania State Park (Olympia) and take a 20-mile hike on the Chehalis Western Trail on Saturday. The state park is on a lake that has swimming and I'm sure some fish. Don't miss the fun and challenge.
Luke's Eagle Project
9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Kitsap Memorial State Park
I would like to pass along the information that I will be holding the first phase of my Eagle Scout Project this coming Saturday, May 30th. We will be meeting at Kitsap Memorial State Park (202 Park Street NE, Poulsbo, WA) at 9 AM on Saturday. Part of the time, we will be cutting down and hauling out invasive plants, and for the remainder of the time, we will be transplanting sword ferns. I will buy pizza for everyone at lunch, and we should be done by 2 o'clock. I will graciously accept any time you can devote to doing this with me, even if you cannot be there the whole time. Be sure to bring water, hiking boots, jeans, and work gloves. If you have shovels, wheelbarrows, pickaxes, saws, or brush trimmers, it would be great if you can bring those, too.
